From the article: Chardonnay Wines
Chardonnay has been the darling of the white wine world for quite some time. With the latest craze being "unoaked" or "naked" Chardonnay, where producers are foregoing the oak aspect and keeping the juice in stainless steel from start to finish. The result is an ultra-pure Chardonnay with the fruit placed front and center. The traditional oak-driven Chardonnay often tempers the fruit with buttery tones, creamy textures and a rounder presence overall. Have a favorite Chardonnay in either the oaked or unoaked camp? We'd love to hear about it. Share Your Chardonnay

Evening Land Chardonnay

Citrusy, vibrant and crisp! Just wonderful. Saw a wine blog about it at blog.wineontheway.com and tried it out and I was hooked. I'm trying out their pinot tonight :)

Gary Farrell Russian River Chardonnay

Gary Farrell Russian River Chardonnay 2007 is a dream on the nose and tongue. Aromas of lemon custard, butterscotch and hints of nutmeg, followed by additional notes of baked apple, hazelnut, vanilla cream and tropical fruits. Sighs I get happy just thinking about it lol The words "decadent" and "delicious" comes to mind. Its a definite must try Chardonnay. The Wine Place

favorite chardonnay?

I like the sonoma county chardonnay from b. r. Cohn winery in Glen Ellen, Ca. I love the lingering fruit taste after you take a sip. It's about $24 a bottle. You can find it at http;//www.brcohn.com It's great by itself or with Bosk pears and peccharino cheese. It's worth the shipping cost to get it. Awesome@

Try Cycles Gladiator

They make a lovely Chardonnay that sells at a very reasonable price, unless you live in Alabama, where it's been banned.

Paul Newman's Own Chardonay is the BEST I've ever tasted.

Any Santa Cruz Mountains Chard

Pretty much pick any chardonnay from the Santa Cruz Mts.: good acidity, minerality to balance however much or little oak used by the winemaker. Good acid balance is generally a better wine with food. Some excellent SC Mts. chards from Silver Mountain, Storrs, Fleming Jenkins, Mount Eden, Varner - too many to list.
