Rutherford Hill offers well known wines to consumers at reasonable price points. Onsite they also host several fun events, beyond the typical tours and tastings. From picnics with amazing vineyard views to posh "cave dining" and the opportunity to play winemaker by blending your own wine under the expert teaching of one of Rutherford's wine educators, Rutherford invites patrons into the process and passion of their winemaking ritual.

The Rutherford Hill Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are two very consistent wines that enjoy a significant following - for good reason. They both boast exemplary varietal character with good distribution lines and good food pairing potential. Rutherford Hill is truly "known" for its Napa Valley Merlot wines - and has devoted much of its bottling to this varietal.

Rutherford Hill Tours and Tastings:

Daily tours are $20 and offer a walking tour, complete with a peek at their famous cave system for aging wines, and a wine tasting.

Tour times: 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m.

The Rutherford Hill tasting room is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's day). To participate in a the wine tasting without the walking tour will cost you $15.
