For all of you Sweet-tooths on the quest for a sugar-laden, somewhat syrupy dessert wine, here are the top ten wine finds that lie distinctly on the sweeter side of the vine.

1. Bonny Doon's Muscat Vin de Glaciere 2004 (California) $15

Sweet pineapple and candy-coated pear flavors melt together to make this wine a delight whether paired with a dessert or enjoyed as dessert itself.

2. Petit-Vedrines Sauternes 2002 (France) $12

A very elegant dessert wine with pale color and rich flavors of honey, coconut and caramel. This wine is a beautiful example of a Sauternes with a candy-coated finish that goes on and on. (Please note, price of $12 is for a 375ml bottle and not a typical 750 ml bottle.)

3. Fiori delle Stelle, Vidal Ice Wine 2003 (New York) $30

Again a 375 ml bottle size, this ice wine drizzles apricots with honey and then adds a full serving of melt in your mouth melon.

4. Inniskillin Winery (Ontario) $50-90

Inniskillin Winery, producing internationally acclaimed icewines is one of the safest bets for your next dessert wine needs. From Cabernet Franc icewines to Riesling and Vidal Blanc icewines - the choices are seemingly endless.

5. Silvan Ridge Early Muscat 2003 (Oregon) $14

A party favorite, crisp clean fruit flavors of apples mixed with pears and peach, this classic muscat keeps your attention with a semi-sweet, touch of spritz finish. Best served with fruit cocktail or creamy desserts.

6. Riverview Cellars Estate Winery Vidal Icewine 2002 (Ontario) $40

Liquid gold in color and flavor. Sweet, intensity and balance that makes icewines from the Ontario region a worldwide contestant in global competitions. Concentrated flavors of ripe peaches, smothered in honey - incredibly rich. A luxury wine at a reasonable price.

7. Sutter Home Moscato (California) $12

This light-bodied dessert wine strings you along with flavors of honeydew melon and fresh from the orchard peaches. A best bargain wine with plenty of dessert pairing options. As an aside, Sutter Home also offers a Dessert Wine Club membership for those that prefer the majority of their wines on the sweeter side.

8. Eberle Winery's Muscat Canelli 2004 (California) $12

Bursting with tropical fruit flavors of pineapple, mandarin and melon - this wine is sure to please the most discerning palate! This muscat is semi-sweet with a crisp finish, shake it up and give this one a go with your favorite spicy Gumbo recipe and then keep it flowing right into dessert.

9. Lamoreaux Landing's Vidal Ice Wine 2002 (New York) $19

A terrific match for a cheese and fruit tray or to partner with a Thanksgiving pie, this ice wine is a delightful blend of sweet pineapple and over ripe apricot all dipped in honey.

10. Duerkheimer Fronhof - Scheurebe Trockenbeerenauslese (Germany ) $70

Long name, high price - but a phenomenal dessert wine for those with wide wallets and a love for exceptional wine's from Deutschland. This ice wine is extremely sweet, with vivid fruit flavors and aromatic bouquets of apple blossoms and honeysuckles. A lively dessert wine that is easily savored with or without a dessert - trust me, you won't miss the dessert!
