Grüner-Veltliner

By Stacy Slinkard, About.com

Definition: Grüner-Veltliner is one of Austria's dominant white wine grape varietals. This grape enjoys higher acidity levels and is known to put forth inviting fresh, green aromas to juicy tropical fruit on the nose and palate. It can also be made into a more complex white wine, that ups the elegance factor and builds in sturdy structure - fully capable of long term aging.
Also Known As: Veltliner and years ago it was known as Grüner Muskateller
