Garnacha

Definition: Garnacha (known as Grenache in France) is a red grape that is used in Rioja wines. In its prime it produces a deep colored red wine with ripe red fruit flavors, often raspberry dominates the palate.

Flavor Profile - Garnacha wines tend to be quite fruit-filled with an interesting mix of strawberry, blackberry and raspberry flavors followed by a dash of peppery spice.

Food Pairings - Consider pairing with wild mushroom risotto dishes, grilled entrees, barbecue and Asian fare.
