Domaine

By , About.com Guide

Definition: In terms of wine, a Domaine is a word most often used in France, specifically Burgundy, to refer to an estate that produces wine. It differs from "Chateau" in that a chateau is the house or building where the wine is made, though the word is not used in Burgundy much, but dominates elsewhere in France.
