Wine of the Week: Ruffino's Lumina Pinot Grigio (Italy) $13
Friday August 31, 2007
Ruffino's Lumina Pinot Grigio is a medium-bodied white wine with plenty of pizzaz to hang with everything from halibut to roasted pork. This Pinot Grigio has both substance and finality. The flavor profile consists of notable pear and citrus hints with an effervescent minerality that bubbles below the initial palate impression. A lively white wine to enjoy now and through the cooler fall months.

I took a yellow limo (taxi) home after spending a day working on a wonderful television show for HBO (The Wire) and killed a bottle of Ruffino’s Pinot Grigio.
Then I Googled around and saw your post; you are RIGHT ON. It’s cold outside and the combo plattter of this Pinot Grigio and a shrimp Pad Thai is….enviable.
