Controversy Continues Over Proposed FDA Regulations on Wine Labels

While many people suffice it to know that wine is made of grapes, grit and perhaps a bit of sulfur dioxide thrown in; proposed regulations would expose the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to making wine. For example, some animal products from fish, chicken and even cows are utilized to decrease a wine's tannin content. Or take various cultural nuances for winemaking, in the U.S. adding water during the fermentation process is permitted; however, in France it is taboo.
