Wine of the Week: Blackstone Merlot (California) $9
Monday August 8, 2005
The Blackstone Merlot is a rich red wine, with an almost creamy texture. This Merlot has a flavor profile that is brimming over with ripe fruit flavors of plum and blackberry covered with a splash of vanilla - all perfectly rounded out with soft, squishy tannins. The Blackstone Merlot is exceptionally easy to find, well-priced and is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Pairs well with salmon, herbed chicken and a variety of pasta dishes.

Was introduced to Blackstone Merlot about two years ago at a small, out of the way New Jersey restaurant. It is all that I drink now. Rich flavor, no after-taste and very smooth. Cannot seem to find anything else that delights me as much as this inexpensive Merlot.
Blackstone Merlot is the Best! I could not believe this wine was so inexpensive and the taste was so good. The taste is Rich, no after taste and very smooth. I am hooked!
Wow! Blackstone Merlot is awesome wine.
If the rest is as good as the 2003 Merlot I had last night I’ll be hooked for life.
Had this at a Red Lobster it was a shame they did not have a full bottle the waiter brought out a glass and WOW I was upset it was all he had Excellent wine best I’ve tasted having trouble finding it in the store though.
