Firestone Vineyard has turned out a spicy, integrated Syrah with an attractive flavor profile filled with ripe berries, plums and a dash of dark chocolate. The tannins are visible without being over-powering. This Syrah would be a delight with summer's best barbecue, Italian fare, or to accompany a variety of red meat dishes.
