Valentine's Day Wine & Chocolate Pairings

By February 14, 2013

Follow me on:

Happy Valentine's Day!  Wine, chocolate, and roses...you've got the roses down, but are you still wondering which wines with which chocolates?  No problem, we've got a quick chocolate and wine guide for pairing white, milk, and dark chocolate delights with a variety of still, sparkling, and fortified wines. From Moscato d'Asti to Banyuls, and Zinfandel to Port, there are many options for complementing the perfect bite of chocolate with a favorite wine find.

Still there are plenty of naysayers that are strongly opposed to the somewhat unorthodox combination, and don't believe that wine and chocolate should be placed in the same sentence much less  the same sip, but if you keep your wine sweeter than your chocolate and shoot for matching the weight and texture of the chocolate to the wine, you'll be just fine!  Check out specific wine and chocolate pairings here.
