Wine of the Week: Tramin Pinot Grigio 2010

By October 12, 2011

Follow me on:

The 2010 Tramin Pinot Grigio, from Italy's Alto Adige region, brings a serious freshness factor to the glass.  Solid stone fruit laced with zesty citrus surround a mineral-laden core, as mouth-watering acidity does its dance to make this an extraordinarily food-friendly wine.

Consider pairing it with a variety of appetizers, seafood - particularly oysters or grilled salmon with thyme, roasted poultry or pork and this Pinot Grigio is versatile enough to go the distance with apple tart.
