Here in Washington State, with 650+ Wineries and 11 AVA’s, it is easy to find in state wineries with great prices-cheap describes the quality for me, not the price-so I prefer great prices. My favorite “great” price with a good drink-ability is “Columbia Crest Red 10 Vineyard” red wine.
$5.99 at the market. Columbia Crest Winery. Wine Spectator chose their 2005 Reserve Cabernet as the best wine in the world for 2009. A Cab, Sangiovese, Syrah blend that has aromas of cane berries and mocha. A clean finish on the palate of rich dark fruit.Enough said.

I am NO conosseuse of wines, so take my opinions at your peril! My favorite cheap red wine is Reunite (Emilia Romagna). Not necessarily read, but also delicious is Canei. I’m no connoisseuse, but to me these wines taste like grape, they are sweet and smooth!

Right now, it is Red Diamond 2007 Merlot, $10.99 here in Little Rock, but much less in other places. I also love Rodney Strong 2009 Charlotte’s Home Sauvignon Blanc, $13.50 on their website, but $18.99 here in Little Rock, so it is not a cheap wine for me. Another is Angove’s Nine Vines Rose`, $12.99 in my area. Marquis de la Tour Brut Rose`, a French sparkling wine aroud $12.00. Artisan Family of Wines Red Cote Rose`around $10.00 and Castillo di Borghese of Long Island’s Fleurette which is a Rose`, $14.99.
