At $10 a pop "The Crusher" is an ultra value red wine that delivers some amazing blackberry, blueberry, hints of pepper and smoky, vanilla nuances on the palate.
The tannins are an integral part of the fruit and the somewhat rustic nature of this particular Petite Sirah make it a natural for the upcoming grilling season. Many thanks to Bill in the Wine Forum for recommending this terrific bargain wine find.

Stacy, I read your posts all the time. You have remarkable taste and I love the fact that you’re not stuck in $$$ land. The Crusher is one of my fav’s, had it in my cellar and consumed all but one bottle. Can’t wait to see what’s next. BTW, great post on organics. Its very important for people who are allergic to sulfites to know that these wines tend to be graceful and are less prone to sulfite allergies. Cheers, Alex
