If ever there was a wine made for Valentine's Day - this would be it! For starters Montes Cherub is decidedly pink, adorned with a chubby cherub on the label (and the name) and it's downright delicious. Given that "built-in" rosé food-pairing versatility, this is a wine that will pair well with an assortment of Valentine's Day dinner options.

Made from 100% Syrah grapes, this is a juicy well-ripened wine with loads of strawberry both on the nose and the palate, along with cherry and raspberry on the mid-palate. A touch of tannin gives the well-packed fruit some sophisticated boundaries and the finish endures longer than expected. At $12 bones a bottle this is certainly a wine to consider for Valentine's day and beyond. Consider pairing the Montes Cherub with fresh seafood (salmon would be amazing), sushi, pâté, pork loin and for the forever casual couple - burgers.
