Wine of the Week: Clos Du Bois Chardonnay 2007 (CA) $12

The 2007 Clos Du Bois Chardonnay is a terrific everyday white wine at a reasonable price. On the palate you'll find an abundance of tangy Granny Smith apple and D'Anjou pear along with a solid citrus-driven foundation, all folded in a creamy palate texture. This Chardonnay was fermented in a combination of both French and American Oak and underwent malolactic fermentation, both of which contribute significantly to the rich buttery finish, making this an appropriate wine selection to use for the "oaked" wine in the above Component Tasting.

The Clos Du Bois Chardonnay would complement anything from creamy Italian chicken recipes to butter battered seafood.
