Wine of the Week: Hayman & Hill Pinot Noir 2007 (CA) $15

Monday January 5, 2009
This Hayman & Hill Pinot Noir is a wine worth buying on several fronts! It has all of the character and subtle nuances you would expect in a true blue Pinot Noir, at a fraction of the expected price. On the nose there is plenty of floral and subtle fruit aroma. On the palate you'll find loads of ripe cherry and soft strawberry, along with elegant texture and a full-flavored finish. Perfect for pairing with turkey, London broil and a variety of other possibilities. This is a very resilient, food friendly red wine find.

As a general rule I love pinot noirs but had been disappointed by a Californian one we tried a few months back. I’m going to look for this one and give it a try as that’s a really good price. Thanks for the review!
