French Restaurant Serves Wine in...Baby Bottles?!

Nope, this is not an April Fool's day joke! Wine served in baby bottles - who knew? It seems some will do anything to avoid paying taxes! So here's the scoop, the Le Refuge des Fondus is a trendy restaurant in Paris that serves its lower end wines in baby bottles. Why you ask? Because once a wine is served under "stemware status" it gets taxed at a higher rate. One way around this tax hike - serve it in baby bottles, or sippy cups - or anything else that is the antithesis of the highly regarded (and heavily taxed) stemware! Read more...
