Wine of the Week: Robert Mondavi Private Selection Pinot Noir 2006 (CA) $11

The 2006 Mondavi Private Selection Pinot Noir is a party-pleasing delight. This is a medium-bodied red wine that has a base of red raspberry interlaced with a bit of cherry fruit. There is a dash of peppery spice and smidge of cinnamon underneath the fruit. Subtle, sophisticated and stylish - this wine would pair beautifully with roasted poultry, lamb, fish or a veggie-based dish. A keeper for the holidays, especially at this price point.
