Wine of the Week: Bouchaine Pinot Noir 2005 (CA) $20

Thursday September 13, 2007

The Bouchaine Pinot Noir is a delightful red wine, with plenty of blackberry and cherry fruit to greet you. There is a smokiness that surrounds the palate and an earthiness that grounds the tannins and offers foundation for the structure. Nicely balanced, with an opulence that exceeds the price and a fine finish. You'd be hardpressed to find a food that this wine would not complement.
