Wine of the Week: El Coto de Rioja Rosado 2006 (Spain) $12

Thursday August 2, 2007

The El Coto de Rioja Rosado is a medium-bodied dry Rosé wine from Rioja, Spain. The wine is a 50:50 blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes offering delicious flavors of red fruit, primarily strawberry with underlying raspberry flavors on the palate culminating in a dry finish. This is an uncomplicated, food friendly wine that is both refreshing and crisp - perfectly suited for summer sipping. Excellent with grilled chicken, crab salad and corn on the cob.
