Wine of the Week: Grgich Hills Fume Blanc 2006 (CA) $28
Thursday June 28, 2007
The 2006 Grgich Hills Fume Blanc, a dry Sauvignon Blanc wine, is a full-bodied white wine with plenty of tropical fruit gusto present on the nose and further developed on the palate. The specific flavor profile includes mango, pineapple and a hint of lemongrass. A perfect companion wine for fiesty summer appetizers like grilled asparaus, guacamole, clams, Mexican foods seasoned with cilantro or grilled white meats. Also a wine find to keep in mind for a classy hostess gift.

Thanks for reviewing one of my favorite wineries. This one should gain a lot of attention from the consumer this summer. Happy 4th!
