Wine of the Week: Swanson Vineyard's Napa Valley Pinot Grigio 2006 (CA) $21

Tuesday May 15, 2007

Swanson Vineyard's 2006 Napa Valley Pinot Grigio has a light yellow hue and expresses the aromatic nuances of citrus fruits wrapped in honeysuckle. This Pinot Grigio will knock your socks off - it is expressive on the palate, featuring ripe pear, plenty of peach and even a touch of lemon peel mingle playfully in the glass, providing a rich backdrop for well-balanced acidity, a touch of minerality and a vibrant, lively finish!

Perfect for pairing with smoked salmon, prosciutto, goat cheese or shellfish with lemon. This Pinot Grigio will also be terrific going solo as an aperitif. ................................................................................................................................
