Wine of the Week: Ecco Domani 2004 Chianti (DOCG) Italy $11

Wednesday November 1, 2006
The '04 Ecco Domani Chianti is made from Italy's prized Sangiovese grapes, resulting in a medium-bodied wine with bright cherry fruit flavor, firm tannins and an overall structure that lends itself to pairing well with tomato-based pastas, pizza, pork, poultry or grilled red meats. For a fun fall twist on the Ecco Domani Chianti, try the Ecco Sidro ("cider" in Italian). The Ecco Sidro is fall's version of summer's famed Sangria. With apple cider, chai tea, ginger and of course Chianti - this drink will warm you up, whether served hot or cold! See recipe
