Wine of the Week: Jacob's Creek Non Vintage Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir (Australia) $12

Monday December 5, 2005
Jacob's Creek Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir is a delightful blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. The flavor profile expertly integrates a dominant green apple performance on the palate mingled with a subtle strawberry essence to maximize the character of both varietals, ending in an ultra-crisp finish. This is a must-have bubbly to have on stock for the holiday season - perfect for holiday parties, Christmas dinners, gift-giving, and a necessity for New Year's toasts!

I found this wine as a closeout in a Pa State store – tasted it and went back for a full case – price $8.99 US per bottle. What a steal. Dom Perignon’s clone, and even tasters who avoid champagne rave about this one. I would give it a 93 or higher.
